Nat Kendall
San Francisco based yoga teacher & student, musician, surfer and lover of life; Nat Kendall gives reverence to the teachings he has received – helping students nurture their own creative expression and meaningful connection with life. A dedicated student for the last 10+ years, he teaches vinyasa infused with all other limbs of yoga and has studied extensively with Rusty Wells, Janet Stone & Jai Uttal. His devotion-filled classes are invigorating and simultaneously nurturing as he creates a space filled with focus, kindness, laughter, chanting and great music to safely explore the deep benefits of the practice.

How do I get to Sansara?
Can I arrive early or stay later than the retreat?
What if I’ve never surfed or done yoga?
No need to be intimidated! Everyone has to start somewhere and we provide a comfortable, supportive environment where you can feel safe trying out surfing. Sansara has excellent, fun instructors to help get you started if you want. There are many other activities at the resort and in the surrounding area that will make your trip well worthwhile if you'd prefer to skip the surf.
Do I need a wetsuit?
What type of ocean break is it?
At Sansara you have quick, easy access to beach breaks, point breaks, and reef break surf options. Whatever you’re looking for, we’ve got it.
How many surfers will be in my lesson?
What should I bring?
• Surf boards are available, but feel free to bring your own
• A refillable water bottle
• Several swimsuits, sunglasses, and a hat
• Rain jacket (June – November)
• Yoga clothes
• Footwear for the beach and hiking
• Aloe Vera and Coconut Oil
• Natural bug repellent and sunscreen
• Flashlight or headlamp for evening walks
• Personal toiletries and first aid kit
• Books that you wish to read or donate to the Sansara guest library.

What’s included in the cabana?
**Sansara is located beachfront with each cabana offering either exquisite ocean views, or views of the surrounding gardens.
Do the cabanas have air conditioning?
What can I expect when it comes to food at Sansara?
You can expect to eat very well! This will be a VEGETARIAN retreat, no meat and no fish. But we will have colorful, nutrient rich meals lovingly prepared for us daily. Please email our team with any dietary preferences. namaste@natkendall.com
Is the resort accessible to those with disabilities?
Yes, Sansara is accessible. Please contact us prior to arrival so we can ensure the most optimal arrangements are made to make the most of your vacation.
Do you have Internet/TV?
Are the electrical outlets the same as North America? Do I need to bring an adapter?
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
Sansara does have mats, however if you have a mat that you prefer using, we highly recommend bringing it and labeling it. Sansara does have blocks, blankets and bolsters as well.
Where is the beach?
Sansara is situated beachfront with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean at your doorstep. You are steps away from finding yourself sitting under the sun, playing on the beach, enjoying endless miles of beach combing, snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up-paddling, and surfing all right outside the doorstep of your beachfront cabana!
What is the weather like?
How far is the nearest town?
We are located in the beach community of Cambutal. There are minimal shops on the beach, which is part of the appeal. However there are some local corner stores, a coffee shop, and few great restaurants nearby. The closest neighboring town (20 minute drive) is Tonosi. There you can find Bank services (ATM), bigger grocery stores and a few clothing store options.
What currency should I bring and how much? Is there an ATM or Bank close by?

What will the yoga schedule be? What will the yoga be like?
We'll gather for early morning sessions and afternoon sessions on most days, depending on other excursions and adventures. Plan on two sessions for most days. Each practice will be an all levels class with modifications available. Expect a good balance of stronger vinyasa, deep flows and restorative as the week unfolds. We'll also explore Bhakti yoga through chanting, meditations, story telling and more.
Do the staff speak English?
What about COVID?
We are a go for this retreat! The most important thing to do is buy trip insurance – this is mandatory in case anything shifts at all as things evolve. Should the whole retreat get cancelled due to travel restrictions we will move your deposit to the following year. Otherwise, book confidently and join us for an amazing retreat!
Is the deposit NON-REFUNDABLE?
Yes. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if the retreat is cancelled due to any unforseen circumstances given the COVID situation, the deposit can be applied to the 2022 retreat.
