About the Event
Join Nat Kendall for a comprehensive & playful, four-part yoga lab series exploring the fundamentals of yoga and beyond; suitable for newbies, novices and next-level practitioners. Whether you just started your practice, have been on the path for a while, or feel like you may have missed something along the way, this workshop will be for you!
Over the course of 4 Monday nights in January, these conversations will dive into some of the not-so-obvious keys to making yoga a lifelong, sustainable and empowering practice on your mat, and well beyond. During these four sessions we’ll take time to unlock the power of the breath, dissect integral asanas and alignment, examine basics of meditation, plus philosophy, yoga terminology and so much more.
No experience is necessary! Plan for some movement but not a full practice. Picture a creative yoga lab with ample time for discussion, dialog and questions – explorations and reflections to help fine tune and clarify many of the myths, unknowns or curiosities of the practice. If you’re open and willing to learn something new, then join! Price $108 [*Hosted online via Zoom]
Week 1: BREATH (January 4th 5:30-7PM PT)
- Are you breathing? From Ujjayi to Kapalabhati, explore the hows and whys of yogic breathing techniques, helping them optimize your practice, and your life!
Week 2: BODY (January 11th 5:30-7PM PT)
- From Warrior 2 to Savasana, fine tune the poses to your body and get the most from each asana. Every pose is an exploration and we’ve all got questions.
Week 3: MIND (January 18th 5:30-7PM PT)
- Does meditation seem unreachable? Can’t sit still & focus for even two minutes? Let’s talk about our ‘sitting’ practice – why it can be beneficial and how to establish one.
Week 4: LIFE (January 25th 5:30-7PM PT)
- What are some of the bigger reasons behind our “practice” and the “path” of yoga studentship? Yoga off the mat? Spirituality? What are we ultimately doing here?
*Please bring a mat, any props necessary for your practice and an open mind. The classes will also be recorded if you can’t make the live sessions. Single classes not available for sign up.
